Dan Diedriech is a natural-born storyteller and communicator. He has won numerous awards as a journalist, writer, video producer, and speaker. He has been certified by the Public Relations Society of America as well as in the field of Career Consultation.
With both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in journalism, Dan quickly rose to the position of anchor and news director at the CBS affiliate, KRCG-TV, in Missouri’s Capitol of Jefferson City. Dan spent most of his career as a higher education public relations specialist and fundraiser in higher education. At Lincoln University in Missouri, he overrode a mayoral veto to acquire the management rights of the city’s new public access station for the University. He also upgraded the call letters and format of the University’s radio station to create a highly respected jazz station.
While at Westminster College, MO, he spear-headed the $80-million Campaign for Westminster which still holds the record as the most money raised by a small private college in Missouri. At Westminster, Dan also led a film crew that was the first to document sulfur-based life forms in a Mexican Cave system. This breakthrough reached global audiences and the cave was later featured on the groundbreaking BBC special, Planet Earth.
Dan is also a well-respected voice actor who volunteered his services for the Missouri State “Books for the Blind” program, numerous United Ways, and other charitable organizations.
Today, Dan has turned his talents toward the goal of ensuring that each child grows up treasuring the values of kindness, respect, and tolerance. His company, Dan’s Creative Studio, is the vehicle for this mission and his first book, Katy the Caterfly, exemplifies those values.
